My younger self was captivated by trees. They surrounded my home and embraced the sky. Studies of their movements and rich textures filled the pages of my sketchbook. My admiration for nature changed when I moved to a large city. I began creating work that explored the dialogue between nature and man-made life. I utilize a multidisciplinary approach, including drawing, painting, ceramics, and sculpture, to develop a visual expression of organic and industrial relationships. Bold textures and deep earth tones are common features in my work.

My art seeks to confront viewers with the contrasting treatment of the natural and manufactured worlds. We have an essential connection to both, one that is often overlooked. Technology is loud and attention-grabbing, while nature is in the background, quiet and disregarded. I want to remind people of this vital connection through my artwork.
